Do you have knots that need to be Untangled?

Untangled_horizThis week my focus is a bit different than most weeks. I have had a wonderful opportunity over the past few weeks to be part of a launch team for a book that was released on June 2nd. The book, Untangled Let God Loosen the Knots of Insecurity in Your Life, was written by Carey Scott. As a member of the team, I agreed to share my some thoughts about the book in one of my newsletters.

We all have knots in our life. Some of the knots are tied really tight and are difficult to untangle while others seem to be loose and can be straightened fairly easily. So, how do we get tangled? Knotted tangles often occur when we compare ourselves to others….when we wonder why things come easy to others, or when we think if only…. Or when we make a mistake. We end up feeling inferior, worthless and incompetent. These feelings lead us to search for contentment and validation, often in all the wrong places.

Fortunately, even when we feel worthless, God never stops seeing our value. He sees our potential, who we will be, instead of who we are now.

While reading Untangled, I began to realize that Carey Scott could be talking to me. On the surface, I may not appear to be tangled up, but when the layers are pulled back, I have knots and tangles…just like you do. What knots are at the root of your insecurities? Take this quiz to find out; http://untangledwomen.com/whats-your-tangle/. Since we are all so tangled up, you may be wondering how to get the knots in your heart and mind untangled. Carey provides us with the solution.

When we put God at the center of everything in our lives, the knots will become looser and our broken hearts, hurt feelings, and inadequacies will begin to fade away. For many of us, the tangles can be re-triggered through events in our lives, but once we realize them for what they are, we can turn to God who tells us that we are valuable and worthwhile.

Untangled was written primarily for women, although I am sure that many men will also identify with the book. I invite you to read it and let God untangle the knots that limit us from all that He is calling us to do.

Interested in reading the book, send me an email. I have a copy of the book to give to one valuable person.
